The Christmas banner depicts the Christ child as a gift tot he world. He is a newborn, wrapped in swaddling cloths. The heavens have opened as God reaches into our world, so the color changes at the edge of the atmosphere. Jesus is shte light of the owlrd, so all the ligh - sun, moon and stars - is streaming into this tiny body straight from heaven.

Joseph's hands are lifting this tiny boy and offering him back up to God. This child was a gift from God, and Jospeh made him a gift to God with the offer of his own life in service.
