Episcopal Day School Mission Statement
The mission of the Holy Trinity Day School is to bring to children in the community a program of pre-primary instruction and Christian nurture in which their sense of worth as children of God may begin to emerge, and through which their adaptation to future educational and social environments may be enhanced.
The Episcopal Day School is offering classes for two, three, and four year olds for the 2015-2016 school year. The same cut-off birthdate as public schools is used, so a child must have turned two, three, or four on or before September 1, 2015 for the class (s)he is enrolled. The two year old classes are limited to twelve children. The three year old classes are limited to fourteen. The four year old class is limited to sixteen. Each class has two teachers with full enrollment. Children of the Episcopal Day School are called "birds" and each age group is symbolized by a specific color. The four year olds are called Red Birds, the three year olds are Yellow Birds, and the two year olds are Blue Birds.
School Activities and Programs
Our school day begins at 9:00a.m. and ends at 12:00 noon. We begin each day with chapel at 9:15 a.m. Following chapel, each class has instructional and activity time. Children have time on the playground each day. Music, art and story time are also part of the school day. Special music, foreign language, and creative movement classes are provided weekly or bi-weekly depending on the number of days that a child attends. The school library is an important part of our program, where children may check-out books on a weekly basis. Field trips and special programs are also provided throughout the year.
