JOB OPENINGS FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR:

ASSISTANT TEACHER 

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
  • Workdays/Calendar: August 15, 2018 – June 4, 2019 following the school calendar
  • Pay Range: Salary of $6900 – $7300
  • The Assistant teacher is responsible for assisting Lead Teachers with classroom management, supervision, planning and implementing activities/lessons.  He/she will attend to the safety and care of children, such as by helping with their personal care, hygiene, and growth in all areas of development (social, emotional, physical and intellectual). He/she will help maintain classroom records, cleanliness and order.  Further discussion of school policies, responsibilities, and expectations will occur during interviews.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least six months of verifiable experience caring for children
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Available and willing to attend training classes, teacher workdays and occasional school events beyond normal working hours
    • Must meet all “Staff” requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed

EARLY MORNING CAREGIVERS

  • Monday-Friday, 7:15a.m.-8:30a.m.
  • Workdays/Calendar: August 15, 2018 – June 4, 2019 following the school calendar
  • Pay Range: $9.00-$10.00 per hour
  • The Early Morning Caregiver is responsible for first arrival and opening the school building.  He/she will attend to the safety and care of children, such as by overseeing their personal care, hygiene, and growth in all areas of development (social, emotional, physical and intellectual). He/she will plan morning arrival activities and maintain classroom records, cleanliness and order.  Further discussion of school policies, responsibilities, and expectations will occur during interviews.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least six months of verifiable experience caring for children
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Available and willing to attend training classes, teacher workdays and occasional school events beyond normal working hours
    • Must meet all “Staff” requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed

 BOOKKEEPER (QuickBooks)

  • Hours will vary with applicant’s availability and school’s needs, Monday-Friday. Hours will total no more than 10 hours per month
  • Workdays/Calendar: As-needed between August 1, 2018 – June 15, 2019
  • Pay Range: $12.00-$15.00 per hour
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experienced bookkeeper
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Proficient in QuickBooks is a must
    • Must meet additional requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed

SUBSTITUTES 

  • Hours will vary with applicant’s availability and school’s needs between the hours of 7:30a.m.-5:30p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Workdays/Calendar: As-needed on school days between August 20, 2018 – June 1, 2019 as defined by the school calendar
  • Pay Range: $8.75-$9.25 per hour
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least six months of verifiable experience caring for children
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must meet all “Staff” requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed

   *EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  3. Required Forms/Documents:   (1) Fingerprinting for FBI/SLED check (IdentoGo Live Scan Digital Fingerprinting); (2) TB test, Health Assessment, & Medical Statement; (3) Central Registry Check; (4) High School Diploma, GED, College Diploma or Degree
  4. Once hired, employees must complete 15 clock hours of Child Care Career Development Training per calendar year and attend an Episcopal Church: Safe Church Training course.
