JOB OPENINGS FOR 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR:

ASSISTANT 2K TEACHER 

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
  • Workdays/Calendar: August 15, 2019 – June 5, 2020 following the school calendar
  • Pay Range: Salary equivalent to $9.25 – $10.25 per hour
  • The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher with classroom management, planning and implementing activities/lessons. The 2K classroom is limited to twelve students with two teachers. The Assistant Teacher attends to the safety and care of the children, helping with their personal care and growth in all areas of development (social, emotional, physical and intellectual). Personal care in the 2K class includes diapering, toilet training and guiding children in building self-help skills. The Assistant Teacher also helps maintain classroom records, order and cleanliness. Further discussion of school policies, responsibilities, and expectations will occur during interviews.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least six months of verifiable experience caring for children.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Available and willing to attend training classes, teacher workdays and occasional school events beyond normal working hours.
    • Must meet all “Staff” requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed.

ASSISTANT AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROVIDER(S)

  • Monday-Friday, 12:30p.m.-5:30p.m.
  • Workdays/Calendar: August 15, 2019 – June 5, 2020 following the school calendar
  • Pay Range: $9.25-$9.65
  • The Assistant After School Care Provider’s hours will be from 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., two to three days per week. The specific weekdays are to be determined. The Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead After School Care Provider with classroom management, planning and implementing activities for children ages two to five. The Assistant attends to the safety and care of the children, helping with their personal care and growth in all areas of development (social, emotional, physical and intellectual). Personal care in the includes diapering, toilet training and guiding children in building self-help skills. The Assistant Teacher also helps maintain classroom records, order and cleanliness. Further discussion of school policies, responsibilities, and expectations will occur during interviews.

SUBSTITUTES 

  • Hours will vary with applicant’s availability and school’s needs between the hours of 7:30a.m.-5:30p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Workdays/Calendar: As-needed on school days between August 20, 2019 – June 2, 2020 as defined by the school calendar
  • Pay Range: $9.00-$9.40 per hour
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least six months of verifiable experience caring for children
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must meet all “Staff” requirements of South Carolina Child Care Licensing to be employed
