Information

Holy Trinity Parish includes Holy Trinity Church, Clemson; St. Paul's, Pendleton; the Canterbury Campus Ministry of Clemson; and the Episcopal Day School. Holy Trinity Church is the primary place of worship for the parish.

Episcopal Day School is a nonprofit preschool education program for children ages two through five.

Canterbury
A Canterbury Community is a group of young adults, ages 18-29 in the Episcopal tradition. Though the Community is lead and sponsored by the Episcopal Church, all young adults from all walks of life are invited and encouraged to join us for any portion of our program with which they feel comfortable.

Saint Paul's is one of the oldest churches in the Upstate. Services are held twice a month and on special occasions. The care and stewardship of St. Paul's was assigned to Holy Trinity in 1964 and St. Paul's continues to be an important part of the parish's mission. St. Paul's has an active Thrift Shop as part of the parish's outreach to the community.

Location
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Pickens County, South Carolina, Clemson is a university town of about 11,000 permanent residents. More than one-third of Clemson's residents are employed by the university, and Clemson students who do not live on campus make up another third of the town's residents. Readily accessible by interstate highways, Atlanta, Charlotte and Columbia are each two hours away by car. Clemson is 35 miles from Greenville and 15 from Anderson.

Holy Trinity's site is adjacent to the campus of Clemson University, South Carolina's land grant university and a major research institution. The church overlooks the university tennis courts and soccer field and is within walking distance of campus recreational facilities. The university has about 16,000 students but boasts a football stadium with seating for 80,000, allowing major concerts by such top-name performers as Elton John and the Rolling Stones that would not normally perform in a community the size of Clemson. Littlejohn Coliseum accommodates ACC basketball and entertainment events of a moderate size. Tillman Hall Auditorium and the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts are designed for the frequent theater and classical music productions sponsored by the university. The area immediately behind the church is residential, inhabited primarily by students and employees of the university.

One block from Holy Trinity, College Avenue runs through the downtown area and is lined with shops, restaurants and businesses serving the needs of the campus and community. College Avenue connects the university campus to US 123, a moderately developed commercial area with facilities to accommodate the local community as well as capacity crowds drawn by sporting and entertainment events.
