International Outreach Ministries

The focus of our international involvement is the diocesan partnership with Cange, Haiti, and the Bois Joli Rural School project. The school project is supported by four area churches. The mission began as an effort to bring clean water to this mountaintop village. It has evolved into an ongoing mission, with medical teams sent on a quarterly basis. We have helped build a church, several schools, a hospital, an eye clinic, a dentist’s office, and a water system. Partnership Cange celebrated its 25th year of ministry in Haiti in 2004. Beth Kunkel operates The Haiti Shop, a source of hand-made items from Hati. This is a terrific location for gifts for graduation, weddings, babies, and hostesses.  We have Café de Cange, hand-woven placemats, receiving blankets, purses, bedspreads, aprons, paintings, cards, and pillows for your selection.  Located in Trinity Place, the Haiti Shop is open every Sunday from 12 noon until 2 pm.
