Parking Policy
June 2008

Following the acquisition of the old Methodist Church property at 195 Old Greenville Hwy, adjacent to Holy Trinity’s property at 193 Old Greenville Hwy, the Vestry received a report from a special committee established to study parking issues surrounding the combined properties. The following policy statement concerning parking has been adopted by the Vestry and is currently in practice. The Vestry asks that all parishioners and other interested parties please observe this policy when parking on the property.

  1. Use of the parking spaces surrounding the old Methodist Church building during the week and on Sundays are reserved for Crosspoint Church with the exception of eight (8) spaces, four (4) of which are leased to Tiger Town Graphics’ employees during the week and four (4) of which are provided to the United Methodist Church Campus Ministry. The spaces provided to Tiger Town Graphics are numbered 11-14. The vehicles of the United Methodist Church Ministry are identified by displaying the Episcopal Church sticker and also by their license plate numbers.
  2. Use of the parking spaces along the frontage road (leased from Clemson University to Holy Trinity) as well as the spaces in the lot off the alley behind Holy Trinity is reserved for Holy Trinity. Parishioners and friends of Holy Trinity who park in these areas during the week and on Sunday should display the Episcopal Church sticker on their vehicles (available in the Holy Trinity Church office). The spaces in the lot off the alley behind Holy Trinity are ENTIRELY RESERVED for handicapped and elderly parishioners on Sunday. Please do not park in this lot if you are not elderly or handicapped.
  3. Use of all the spaces on both properties on football game days is reserved for Holy Trinity. Holy Trinity intends to sell season-long parking passes for the spaces along the side and rear of its property to football patrons. The spaces on the frontage road will be rented on a first come, first serve basis on the day of football games. Holy Trinity has permission from Clemson University to rent these spaces on football game days.
  4. Parking restrictions are posted on signs on the property. The parking lots will be monitored by Holy Trinity, Crosspoint, and Methodist Campus Ministry staff as well as by a towing service contracted by Holy Trinity and unauthorized vehicles in violation of this policy will be towed after one warning. Vehicle owners will be required to pay the towing fee to retrieve their vehicles. Information necessary to retrieve a towed vehicle is provided on the sign.
