Nominations are now open for the following elected positions at Holy Trinity (click links for more information on positions):
- 4 Vestry Members (3-year term)
- 1 Delegate to Diocesan Convention (4-year term)
- 2 Alternates to Diocesan Convention (1-year term)
- 2 Day School Board Members (2-year term)
- 1 Day School Board Member (1-year term)
- 1 Senior Warden (1-year term, can serve up to 3 terms, Current Senior Warden has served 1 term.)
- 1 Junior Warden (1-year term, can serve up to 3 terms, Current Junior Warden has served 1 term.)
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, October 23th at 5:00 pm. Parish members may volunteer for nomination or nominate other parish members. Please make sure that anyone you nominate is willing to serve and completes the Nomination for Parish Service form. Section IV.6 of the Parish By-Laws prescribes the following eligibility requirements for vestry members:
“Any parishioner who is a communicant in good standing, as previously defined, is eligible to serve in the Vestry except that no immediate family member (i.e. spouse, parent, child and sibling) of Parish staff, Day School staff or clergy is eligible for Vestry service and no member of the same family (spouse, parent, child, or sibling) may serve on the Vestry concurrently.”
The term “communicant in good standing” shall mean a baptized and confirmed, or received member of the Episcopal Church who is contributing to the support of Holy Trinity Episcopal Parish.
Diocesan Convention Delegates and Parish Day School Board members must also be communicants in good standing.
Parish members may volunteer for nomination or nominate other parish members. Please make sure that anyone you nominate is willing to serve and completes the Form to Nominate for Parish Service.
Ballots will be emailed or mailed to all parish members, along with bios of nominees, on Thursday, October 26. Hard copies will be available in the church office. Voting will close at noon on Sunday, November 5.
