2021 Annual Campaign for Mission & Ministry:

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church & St. Paul’s Church

They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.

What will we be doing a year from now?

The Vestry, Wardens, and Rector have spent considerable time discerning the core values at the heart of the parish. Those values are clear: worship, community, and service.

All of us have been impacted by the pandemic. Therefore, we have changed our approach to planning for 2021 knowing (and trusting in God) that this situation will not last forever.

IMAGINE:

…children running on our front lawn after their participation in a First Sunday Service…Canterbears gathering for a picnic in the pavilion after working in the SAME garden…EFM gatherings and fellowship in the pavilion…baskets of donated food brought to the alter at the Offertory to be blessed…what can you imagine?

Annual Giving

Each fall the parish conducts a pledge drive through which we urge all members to make a financial as well as time commitment – a pledge – to the mission and ministry of the parish for the coming year. The Statement of Mission for 2021 will reflect our desire to continue our good works and maintain our foundation for the future.

Dearest Holy Trinity family,

As we began planning year’s stewardship campaign, our Stewardship Committee first had to come to terms with the extraordinary situation in which we all find ourselves. I don’t need to remind you of the disruptions, losses, and anxieties that this year has brought to our communities. We are all still living with the impacts. I can say, however, that although the pandemic has tested our resolve, it has not tested our faith. We are stronger, more resilient, and more connected than we have ever been as a Church and as a community of believers. I am grateful for each one of you, doing your part in your homes, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, families, and here at Holy Trinity.

Our mission this year has been focused on growth through resilience. As we experienced some weeks of not being able to gather in person, the usual focus on weekly worship was spread throughout the week as we found ways to gather virtually, taking more time to pray for each other’s needs and serve our communities. You used this time to use the gifts you have received from our Creator God and to serve one another.

I have witnessed the countless ways that you have used your resources for our mission to love with the heart of Christ, to think with the mind of Christ, and to act in the world as the Body of Christ. I have found it inspiring and hopeful as we plan our work together in 2021. This coming year, we will explore the way that our generosity is inspired by our faith, how we are formed and led into relationship with each other as we share our gifts with the world. This is what we mean by “Faith-Filled Generosity.”

How will you discover and use the gifts you have been given to help Holy Trinity fulfill our mission this year? How will you hear the Gospel call to seek and serve Christ in all people, and respond with generosity? We are the stewards of God’s manifold grace because we give to the world from what we have received.

Under the “2021 Campaign” tab, you will find information describing our theology and methodology for giving. You will also find a pledge card that provides a helpful guide to considering proportional giving that prompts faithful generosity in keeping with your current financial situation, whatever that may be. I invite you to receive this with grace and prayer as you consider how you will share with God and God’s Church from what you have received.

In the spirit of generosity and much love,
